The RLT Affiliate Program!

How it works:

1. Create your account.
   We'll need to know your email address and your mailing address so we can send you earnings reports and mail your checks. Don't worry, this information will be kept strictly private!

2. Create links.
   It's pretty simple. Just use the link builder, then cut-and-paste the HTML into your web pages. You can specify a URL that the user should return to also, so we can send your web traffic back to you!

3. Wait for your checks to arrive.
   We'll pay you a 5% comission for every product you sell.
   5% may seem lower than other affiliate programs, but you'll get credit for many more sales. Unlike other affiliate programs, if someone clicks on your link but doesn't buy anything right away, our system will remember where that person came from up to a full month! Even if they type in the URL manually and buy something later, you'll still get credit for the sale!

   Not only that, but if you link someone to one of our products, and they come back later to buy something else, even if it's on one of our other web sites, including items at Trebuchet.com, Mangonel.com, BackyardArtillery.com, AncientEngineering.com (and more to come) you'll STILL get credit for ALL those sales for up to one full month from the first click! And if the user clicks on your link again after the month is up, it all starts over again!

1.     Registration.
We reserve the right to revoke your registration and ban anyone and any web sites from participating in the affiliate program if we determine, in our sole discretion, that your site is unsuitable, offensive, illegal or otherwise inappropriate.

2.     Links on Your Site
You will be responsible for the content, style, and placement of links on your web site (we can't be doing HTML design for you!). However, for tracking, reporting, and accruing commissions, we will provide you with special link formats (via our link builder application) to be used in all links between your site and our site. You must ensure that each of the links between your site and our site uses these link formats. We will not be able to pay commissions on sales resulting from improper links.

3.     Order Processing
We reserve the right to cancel orders for any reason, including but not limited to: items out of stock, fraud detection, bad credit or bounced checks, customer requests, or any other valid reason as determined solely by us. Commissions will not be paid on cancelled orders. This will not affect payments on completed orders.

4.     Commissions
For an order to be eligible for commission, the customer must click-through a Special Link from your site to our site, accept cookies as served from our site, and buy product(s) with those cookies still present and unaltered in the HTTP request.

If the customer already has our cookie(s) as the result of a previous click-through from another affiliate, the cookie will NOT be changed and only the affiliate identified in the existing cookie will be eligible for the commission.

The eligibility ends whenever the cookies expire. This occurs upon one of the following events: (a) 30 days elapses from the customer's initial click-through, (b) the customer intentionally or accidentally destroys the cookie, (c) other unforseen technical difficulties occur.

We will only pay commissions on such Products after order, payment and shipping have occurred.

5.     Commission Schedule
You will earn commissions based on Qualifying Revenues according to commission schedules to be established by us. "Qualifying Revenues" are revenues derived by us from our sales of Qualifying Products, excluding costs for shipping, handling, gift-wrapping, taxes, service charges, credit card processing fees, returns and bad debt. The current commission schedule is: 5% of Qualifying Revenues from the sale of any Qualifying Products.

6.     Commission Payment
We will pay you commissions via check on a random basis at our whim, but not to be less than once each year. However, if the commissions payable to you at any time are less than $25, we may hold payment until the total amount due is at least $25 or (if earlier) until this Agreement is terminated. In calculating commissions, we will deduct the corresponding commissions from your next quarterly payment if a Product that generated a commission is returned by the customer.

7.     Policies and Pricing
Customers who buy products through this Program will be considered the customers of rlt.com. We reserve the right to change prices and commissions at any time, without notice. Because price changes may affect Products that you have listed on your site, you may not include price information in your Product descriptions. Current commission rates and policies will be available in the operating agreement at this web address: http://www.rlt.com/affiliates/operatingagreement.html.

8.     Term of the Agreement
The term of this Agreement will begin when you create your account. Either you or we may terminate this Agreement at any time, with or without cause, by giving the other party written notice of termination (email shall be considered written notice).

9.     Modification
We may modify any of the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement, at any time and in our sole discretion, by posting a change notice or a new agreement on our site. Modifications may include, for example, changes in the scope of available commissions, commission schedules, payment procedures, and Program rules. IF ANY MODIFICATION IS UNACCEPTABLE TO YOU, YOUR ONLY RECOURSE IS TO TERMINATE THIS AGREEMENT. YOUR CONTINUED PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM FOLLOWING OUR POSTING OF A CHANGE NOTICE OR NEW AGREEMENT ON OUR SITE WILL CONSTITUTE BINDING ACCEPTANCE OF THE CHANGE.

10.     Relationship of Parties
You and we are independent contractors, and nothing in this Agreement will create any partnership, joint venture, agency, franchise, sales representative, or employment relationship between the parties. You will have no authority to make or accept any offers or representations on our behalf. You will not make any statement, whether on your site or otherwise, that reasonably would contradict anything in this Section.

11.     Limitation of Liability
We will not be liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages (or any loss of revenue, profits, or data) arising in connection with this Agreement or the Program, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Further, our aggregate liability arising with respect to this Agreement and the Program will not exceed the total commissions paid or payable to you under this Agreement.

12.     Disclaimers
We make no express or implied warranties or representations with respect to the Program or any products sold through the Program (including, without limitation, warranties of fitness, safety, or any implied warranties arising out of a course of performance, dealing, or trade usage). In addition, we make no representation that the operation of our site will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we will not be liable for the consequences of any interruptions or errors.

13.     Independent Investigation
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT AND AGREE TO ALL ITS TERMS AND CONDITIONS. YOU UNDERSTAND THAT WE MAY AT ANY TIME (DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY) SOLICIT CUSTOMER REFERRALS ON TERMS THAT MAY DIFFER FROM THOSE CONTAINED IN THIS AGREEMENT OR OPERATE WEB SITES THAT ARE SIMILAR TO OR COMPETE WITH YOUR WEB SITE. YOU HAVE INDEPENDENTLY EVALUATED THE DESIRABILITY OF PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM AND ARE NOT RELYING ON ANY REPRESENTATION, GUARANTEE, OR STATEMENT OTHER THAN AS SET FORTH IN THIS AGREEMENT.
